Happy Easter/ Springtime

Yes I know it's a few days after Easter.

This Easter since we're still in a pandemic I wanted to bring a little happiness all around. My goal was to make Hot Cross Buns .  However since I'm not a fan of raisins I wanted to bake it with chocolate chips. Everyone in this house is a fan of chocolate chips. My usual resource to search for Hot Cross Buns is in my cookbooks but to no avail. Alas I said to myself, "Youtube is a great source." TA-DA  I found a few. I decided on the one I wanted to follow however when your little one is misbehaving plans tend to derail.

Sorry no Hot Cross Buns . So I asked myself what other options do I have that is super quick and easy. "AH-HA" Betty Crocker's Party Book to the rescue.

They have really cute suggestions for celebrating Easter. Since we were going out for dinner. I decided to make an Easter Bunny Cake. Here's the inspiration:

Did it turn out like the way I anticipated? Absolutely not I felt like I was in a Nailed It Episode. However my family loved it after they stopped laughing of course. So here it is:

Maybe next year. 😀
